Stergios Anastasiadis

Biography

Stergios Anastasiadis is appointed faculty member in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, University of Ioannina (Ioannina) since 2005. In the fall semester of 2015, he was Visiting Researcher in the Computer Laboratory, University of Cambridge (Cambridge, United Kingdom), while in the fall semester of 2009 he was Visiting Professor in the School of Computer and Communication Sciences, École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (Lausanne, Switzerland). In the spring semester of 2005, he was Visiting Associate Professor in the Department of Electronic and Computer Engineering, Technical University of Crete (Chania) and Associated Researcher at the Institute of Computer Science, FORTH (Heraklion). In the period September 2001-November 2003 he held a position of Visiting Assistant Professor at the Department of Computer Science, Duke University (Durham, NC, USA). In the summer of 1998, he was Research Intern at HP Labs, Hewlett-Packard (Palo Alto, CA, USA). He received MSc (1996) and PhD (2001) from the Department of Computer Science, University of Toronto, Canada. He holds BSc (1994) with the highest GPA in his class from the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, University of Patras.
