Brief Biographical Sketch
I was born in Ioannina in 1971. I obtained my B.Sc. and
M.Sc. degrees from the
Computer Science
Department of the University of Crete, in 1994 and 1996, respectively.
In 2000, I obtained my Ph.D. from the
University of Rennes I in France.
Currently, I am a professor at the
Department of Computer Science &
Engineering
of the University of Ioannina. My research is in the field of software
engineering, with emphasis on software architecture, design, evolution
and quality. Moreover, I am interested in middleware and
service-oriented software.
So far, I co-authored more than 60
publications in international journals (IEEE Tr. Soft. Eng.,IEEE Tr.
Services Comp., CACM, Inf. & Soft. Technology, etc.),
conferences (ICSE, FSE, ASE, CAiSE, ICWS, Middleware, etc.), and books. Some
statistics concerning the impact of my contribution can be found in my
Google scholar profile, as well as, in my
Microsoft academic profile.
I am a regular reviewer in several journals and I have served as a
program committee member in various conferences (ICSE, FSE, Middleware,
CSMR, etc.). I have been involved in several EU and national funded
research
projects.
More recently, I have served as a principal
investigator on behalf of the University of Ioannina in the
ForeverSOA INRIA project, and the CHOReOS FP7 ICT IP project.
