Student Sessions

Graduate students are invited to submit short abstracts on work in progress but not yet ready for a regular contributed talk.  Those accepted will have an opportunity to present their subject in a special student session, and to receive comments and suggestions from mentors including some of the invited speakers.  
Interested students should submit to http://www.easychair.org/conferences/?conf=pls8 by  June 15, 2011, an abstract of no more than one page in .pdf form, with a cover sheet containing the following information:

1. Student's name.
2. Graduate (master's or doctorate) program in progress, at which university.
3. Major area of research interest.
4. Subject of short abstract.
5. Name of faculty advisor or a faculty member familiar with the student's graduate work.
